Mov’n

They are moving Milo every hour.  That way he doesn’t get any bed sores and it helps with his respiratory.  He remains sedated and the swelling is getting worse.  I measure his swelling by the shape of his nose.  You almost can’t see a shape to his nose.  Tomorrow is suppose to be the worse day.  So we shall see.

He’s had his screws turned twice today.  That seems to be uncomfortable for him since it always makes his blood pressure sky rocket and his breathing goes a little wacky.  So they give him extra pain medication and he settles right down.

Because of all the equipment on Milo he requires constant attention and so he has a 1 to 1 ratio right now when it comes to his nurse.   The problem is that when there isn’t much to do the nurse will sit here and stare at Milo.  No big deal since we get into some pretty interesting conversations but tonight there are 2 nurses assigned to Milo(one is in training).  Now there are three of us watching a sleeping, paralyzed boy.  I just thought that was kinda funny.

More tomorrow.  Have a great night.  I’ll post again when there is something to post.

[Sitt’n up.]

[Gett’n his screws turned.  Dr. Hutchinson is the head resident for Dr. Indreasano and therefore is the doctor now in charge of Milo’s care while here in the hospital.]

Thanks for the updates. Jaime, Afton and Kari are doing fine except for colds. hope you’re getting some rest as well. These young ladies are reminding us why we raise children while young.
