Down for the night

Milo continues to sleep peacefully and I am hoping I will too.  Although with all the baby cries it may be a bit hard.  Milo is to stay in this sedated state for 3-4 days is what they say.  He will be having his bones moved morning and night at about 3mm each time.  That will continue for 4-5 days depending on how he reacts.  He is slowly swelling and I can tell this will be much like his other surgery and swelling.  Day 3 will be the worse day.  For now there is not much for me to do but ask questions.  The resident here said that a surgery like Milo’s is every resident’s dream.  The likelyhood of him seeing something like this again is very slim.   I told him I should start charging an entrance fee to check out Milo!

Day one is done.  Now only 5 weeks 6 days to go till we are considered mostly recovered…….

I’ll keep you posted when I can, but there might not be much to report.  I’ll take more pictures as things change.

Thanks for all the kind words and supportive comments that have been left.  I cannot respond to all of them, but know that they are truly appreciated and make me feel good inside when I read them.

    Hi Sami,

Thank you so much for keeping us updated, I am praying and thinking of Milo and am so glad to hear that you are all okay. He is certainly an inspiration to anyone. The girls looked at the photo’s of him today and glad that his eyes were still there. I think that he had told them that his eyes might pop out etc….s they were really worried.

Anyway, we are all so glad that he is okay.

Laurent went to your place to get the key, however could not get through as the tent is very secure and no one can get to the front door at this point.

Take care and give kisses to Milo.

Only sami would have the soundness of mind to have the house tented during all of this! And I knew it, you’d be blessing other’s lives in the hospital. Think of all the other people that will be blessed because of Milo. Maybe those doctors will have to do some type of surgury related to this one, but in an emergency setting! And they’ll know what they are doing because of you!

I hope you get some sleep tonight. Try to enjoy no kids waking you up in the middle of the night.
