Milo had a stellar night last night. It’s amazing what Tylenol with Codeine will do for a boy. He went to sleep at 8, woke up at midnight to potty, slept until 5, woke up hungry, ate Jell-o, then dozed ’till 8 am when breakfast arrived.
We ate breakfast in the Cafeteria, then came back up and played with Milo’s new RC car. Sorry, no pics, I’m not as good about that stuff as Sami. At 11, Sami came to visit and brought Alix and Niah, who had just arrived from Utah. They had a real nice visit and were very happy to see each other.
Milo has had two constant complaints: 1) I’m very hungry. 2) I want to go home. We have solved #1 by giving Milo real food. Mashed potatoes, oatmeal, etc. Still nothing solid, but more than the liquid diet he’s been on. We’re still working on #2. Dr. Hutchinson came by this morning to check on Milo and asked if Milo had any questions. Milo looks up, and says, “Yeah, I have a question. When can I get out of this hospital?”
When Sami left with the girls, Milo broke down into tears. I asked what was wrong, and he says “I just want to go home”. I wish we could convince the doctors that Milo would be better at home. I hope I don’t sound ungrateful. We’re very grateful for the treatment Milo has received. It’s world class. But the boy is ready to go.
Anyway, we wore Milo out with a busy day today. At the moment, he’s sitting and watching a movie half asleep. He is definitely feeling better.
And the requisite pictures:
Everybody looks good! We love all of you and miss you. We will be praying that you can go home soon. It will be a blessing and a relief to have everyone back home. Good luck and have fun!
Look at those long legs! I think you’ve grown about six inches since we saw you in November, Milo. No wonder you’re hungry all the time… 🙂
I agree Milo looks so tall scrunched up in that wagon. We are so looking forward to seeing you buddy!
