[Unfortunately, Jaime ran into church too fast and missed the pictures! Bummer!!]
Sunday we had a wonderful church service. Mostly music that was amazing and filled my soul with such great joy and thankfulness for my elder brother Jesus Christ. The primary children sang a wonderful song too. We had a nice talk at the end and then up to primary. It was a little busy for us on Sunday. So many things seemed to go wrong, but I never felt as though I lost the spirit. I just needed a few reminders on how to be humble and listen to the promptings of the spirit and learn to smile. After church we had some down time before going over to the Dertings for some yummy dinner.
[Afton really wanted to be with Joey and just sat with him, even when he dozed a little. It was very precious.]
We haven’t seen Joey in so long. We’ve all been so busy with life that we just haven’t gotten together. So when they invited to come join them for the Easter holiday we did. We enjoyed a wonderful dinner but the company was even better. What a great day.
Monday April 13 we went out to Brentwood to have one last celebration. We used to go to Brentwood every Easter Sunday and enjoy it with the Richie’s. A few years ago we decided to just have our own family Easter but we went to Brentwood on Saturday. This year we had to do Monday, but it was still fun. Erika made a wonderful brunch for us.
We had an egg hunt. Watched a movie. The kids went swimming (the first swim of the year).
It was a wonderful day. We enjoyed their company very much and the kids did not want to leave. It really was fun. Thanks Erika and Chris. We really did enjoy ourselves.
For some reason we are very behind on doing Easter things! I have these plastic eggs that represent different things that happened to Christ the week before his resurrection. Each on has a symbol in it and a scripture to read. You are suppose to start the eggs 12 days before Easter and open one a day. Well, we were a little behind and just finished today (April 15).
[We really did have a lot of fun even though neither of girls look like they are having fun!)
We also did our egg coloring today too. I know, the holiday is over, but the kids didn’t seem to care. They had such a great time. I’m glad we did it, even though it was after the day.
[Here is what Keri did…..sat there and looked cute!]
I love that first picture with everyone matching, especially Milo who seems to say, “Tie? I’m a laid back kinda guy!” Sounds like you had lots of Easter fun! Thanks for the update.
