CHEAPER BY THE HALF DOZEN

Family Fun + Scott’s Birthday

on March 9, 2009

We had such a good time for Scott’s birthday. Not sure if he did, but we did. It started out that we didn’t have too much planned, then the kids really got into it and so did I.

Scott declared that he wanted $5 pizza’s from Little Ceasar’s for dinner (whatever floats your boat I guess…) and carrot cake. I wanted to make the cake and so I found a doctored box cake and tried it. We decorated, made cards, cleaned the house, baked and decorated the cake and rented a movie. We had a candle light dinner with the candles Jaime made during her day as a pioneer. After dinner we did the cake.

It tasted fine, but we’ve had better. After that Scott opened his present, a light saber (Milo wants to have light saber fights with Scott but we only had one. So we got him another one. Unfortunately it broke on Sunday and there is no way of fixing it. Once again we are down to one light saber).

After all that we watched a family movie. On Wednesdays, during the month of March, you can rent a DVD free from any REDBOX (if you don’t know what I’m talking about, its a big red box, usually at Wal Mart, or in a grocery store, that has DVD’s to rent). Since Scott’s birthday was on a Wednesday, it worked out perfectly. We rented Space Buddies. It was actually pretty cute and funny. We all enjoyed it. After some goodnight loves we put the kids to bed and retired ourselves. It was a good birthday. But like I said, that’s what I think.
