[Feed me more!! Keri getting a picture during eating. She hasn’t been feeling too well lately but I think her discomfort is caused by teeth pain]
On Saturday January 17 we had a new family over for dinner. Well, they have lived in our ward for 6 months now but we were having a hard time getting our schedules to work. Anyway, the Phillips family came. They have 3 boys and are pregnant. They are a fun family. The kids had fun playing together and Milo was in heaven the whole time. Finally a family with more boys than girls!! We served them hamburgers and hot dogs off the grill. They seemed to enjoy the meal and the company. During the day we had done a lot of yard work. It was a beautiful day here and we hadn’t done yard work in a while so it was perfect. We worked for a good 4 hours before I was too tired to go on. Scott finished up and our yards look great. Good thing too, the weather says it might be raining by the end of this week. BUMMER!!
I’ve been in charge of sharing time this month. It’s been an interesting endeavor to come up with fun and interesting activities to keep our new sunbeams engaged. What a challenge it has been. I think it turned out fine, but I am glad to have a break for a month!
I forgot to mention that we went to mom’s on January 2. We helped her put her Christmas stuff away and put her house back in order after the holidays. Sara and I got to spend a few hours having lunch together and running some errands. I had a great time. Thanks Sara!! For Christmas Grandma Ackerman gave all the kids change in a bag so they could come home and put the money in their practically empty piggy banks. The kids had so much fun!!
First, Jaime, Alix and Milo counted their money, then they very carefully put each coin through the slot. It was fun to watch. Afton and Niah just had a great time, no counting for them this time. Thanks Grandma!
Keri looks SO MUCH like Scott! Wow.
I just discovered that coin couting can be a fun activity that can “buy ” me losts of time to get other things done. Last month I dumped a jar of coins on the floor for the boys to roll and they were distracted for over an hour!
