With all the craziness of September, we somehow managed to make Afton’s birthday special for her. She’s pretty easy to please and I appreciated her patience with all that was going on around her birthday. I’m also grateful that I was given the strength to do the things I was able to do for her.
Afton’s new favorite homecooked meal is BBQ pizza. So I made that for her for her birthday. She also wanted a strawberry cake. So I got strawberry flavored cake mix and frosting and made her a strawberry cake. I hear it all tasted fabulous!
My favorite things about Afton:
-She has a lot of natural athletic talent. It makes me proud to see how good she is with sports and running.
-She loves to sing and is a good singer and learns songs quickly.
-She is so smart. She has finished her 2nd grade curriculum already and is making it difficult for me to keep her busy during school time.
-She is such a girl. She loves to do her hair and “make-up” and smell pretty and match her clothes. She cracks me up!

-She is a really good big sister to Keri. Afton and Keri are buddies most of the day while I’m doing school with the big kids.

I can hardly believe that Afton is 7! You would think it would be easy to believe since we share a birthday, but she is just growing up so fast. Along with all the other kidlets.
