CHEAPER BY THE HALF DOZEN

Busy Weekend

on July 1, 2013

While Scott’s parents were here for his graduation they were sucked into a Thompson Family Busy Weekend. They were so good natured about it though!

They came in LATE Thursday night. Friday morning was spent saying our hellos and the kids being excited about the arrival of their grandparents. Then Grandma and myself and half the kids went to Costco. No small venture I assure you! :o)

As soon as we got home we headed to Fudruckers. I got some gift cards as a Thank You for helping with our homeschooling P.E. group and we decided that would be a FUN before graduation lunch. And fun it was!!

This girl ate her entire meal. Not much of a feat for most, but for Afton it is!

This girl did too. Well, most of it. I think Grandpa got a bite or two…. :o)

Mmmmm good!

This soda machine ROCKED! Ever seen one? Over one hundred flavors. You’d choose your base soda (sprite, coke, lemonade etc…)

Then you chose your flavor (i.e. cherry rootbeer, vanilla rootbeer, etc….).

Bingo, any soda flavor you want! SO FUN! We started just getting one swallow of each flavor so we could try as many as possible. I think I had more soda at that one meal than I have had in the last 15 years combined!! But it was so fun. Ok, simple mind, simple pleasures!

After Fudruckers we went straight to the school. Took lots of pictures, ran off energy, bought Scott a school sweatshirt and bumper sticker and then waited for the ceremony.

Waiting…

We ran up and down these stairs to keep everyone busy. Jaime won that race and was super happy!

What???

I’m too sexy for my shirt…

Love these kids!

Just waiting…

After the graduation we grabbed a bite to eat and then headed home. We walked in the door at 9:30pm. Once the kids were in bed, we spent the next hour getting things ready for Saturday. Whew! It felt good to fall into bed that night!

The dealership where we get our cars worked on just installed a soda machine like that in the waiting room! I am really looking forward to each oil change!!
