CHEAPER BY THE HALF DOZEN

Random Things

on June 8, 2013

We’ve done some random things lately.

Jaime has had some fun school assignments to do:

A science experiment. We were suppose to be making a distiller. Instead we made a mess!! But it looks cool! :o)

Art Class

Scott has really gotten into this HAM radio thing. I think some of our neighbors think we have lost our minds…

Apparently looking redneck gives you better reception when trying to contact other people.

Alix was on the radio. Scott, Jaime, Alix and Milo all volunteered at the local community day Ducks for Bucks event. There was a radio station there, 89.3 KHOL, and Alix got on air. If I had been technologically more advanced, I would have recorded it. But alas, the memory is mine to be had! She did great and even mentioned the church and our desire to do service in the community.

Keri and I have interesting conversations….
While driving in the car:
Keri: Mommy, are we there or there
Me: There
Keri: There?
Me: Yep, there.
Keri: Big smile OK!!

Scott is now Woodbadge Trained and Acorn Trained. GO Scott!

Alix played a primary song in Sacrament meeting and Afton and Niah sang along. It was beautiful and they did a fabulous job! Love my girls and their confidence.

We had our first water day back in April. So fun!! You never know here. One day a scorcher, the next, raining. So you take advantage of it when you can!

Water on the tramp. Best way to play!

Too crazy on the tramp for the littles so they opted to bath Gertie in our outside play toys. I’m SURE Gertie loved every minute of it….

Alix and Niah have been doing a lot of wonderful things with Activity Days. They had their annual “show off” for their families. They have both done a lot. Alix is almost done and is going to have to start Personal Progress. So fun for her!

Keri was invited to a birthday party. It was one of those super cute, over the top 5 year old birthday parties. But it was SO. CUTE. It was a My Little Pony themed birthday party and the mom made all these cute headbands and tails. The girls looked fabulous in them. Keri thought she was a princess! I love little girls!
