CHEAPER BY THE HALF DOZEN

Monterrey Bay Aquarium

on January 17, 2013

We went on our annual trip to the Monterrey Bay Aquarium on the 10th of December 2012. I love our Monterrey trip. We all look forward to it every year. For the last 3 maybe 4 years in a row we have gone with our friends the Kohn’s. But this year was crazy for them and they were not able to attend. So we ventured there alone. It was a VERY nice day. Both in weather and child temperament. The aquarium was nice and not too crowded, the snacks and food I brought were a perfect amount and the kids were super well behaved.

We, of course, went to the Dennis the Menace park. We always go after the aquarium, but this time our passes did not let us in till early afternoon so we got to Monterrey early and played at the park first, then after leaving the aquarium, played at the park again. SO FUN!!

The conveyor belt slide. The kids LOVE this slide. Young and old. :o)

Don’t they look like they are having fun?

These two have been enjoying each other’s company a lot lately. It’s super neat seeing these two get along so well!

The suspension bridge. Seriously the coolest part of this park I think!

Another fun feature of the park!

Our annual picture with Dennis. Too bad the Kohn’s couldn’t be there. O’well. Next year!

Thompson kid funny picture!

A VERY cool exhibit. Check it out if you haven’t already. And in case you are wondering, there is an extra girl in there that is not a Thompson! Clare Riker joined us for a couple of hours. She is so fun and my girls really like her. Her family had come too and we didn’t know we were both ending up there on the same day!

Do you see this gorgeous day?? I don’t think I’ve ever seen Monterrey this beautiful and we spent MOST of the day inside. Tragedy I tell you! Perfect tragedy!

Gorgeous!! Our planet is just Gorgeous!! I LOVE California!

With Clare…..

Without Clare! We have gotten a picture in this clam shell almost every year since Jaime was 5. It’s fun to watch the kids grow up with certain traditions that they will be able to look back on and see how they have changed.

Family Photo Op (well, almost family, Scott was dearly missed for sure!)

Such a fun, beautiful, relaxing day! I LOVE our annual trip to Monterrey!
