So every year the greatest torture my children think they have to endure is family picture day. They have to dress in clothes they don’t want to wear, fix their hair how mom wants it and do exactly what they are told while smiling all the while.
But in the end, they all love it. They love to see the pictures and they especially love to look back at years past pictures and see how they looked. So I don’t feel too bad torturing them. However, this year, family pictures were not working out too well. I usually just have a friend snap a few pictures but with all the craziness going on with the holidays and Niah’s baptism, it just kept getting pushed aside.
That was when I got the brilliant idea to just snap pictures of the kids one day after I realized how cute everyone looked for the wedding reception we were invited too. We did not ever get a family photo, but we got some pretty cute kid photos. I was able to update our fireplace mantle and send out a decent Christmas photo, but I am sad we didn’t get a family picture.
Scott started in the backyard with Jaime but I decided I did not like the look of the backyard. Call me weird, but it just wasn’t doing it for me….
Even though the dress does not depict this, it was FREEZING. The kids were all shivering and barely made it through with smiles! But smile they did and another photo shoot is done!
