CHEAPER BY THE HALF DOZEN

Day After Thanksgiving

on January 3, 2013

Another fun day. We had planned with Grandma and Grandpa to go to the temple. I like to go once a month and Jaime has made it her goal too. What better time to go than with grandparents.

Scott, Grandpa and Jaime did baptisms and confirmations. Grandma and I did initiatories. It was a wonderful couple of hours at the temple. The day was beautiful. We could see all across the bay and the sky was so blue it was picture perfect!

Unfortunately, everyone forgot to bring a camera. Any camera. So the day stays a memory in our minds. But it was beautiful.

Fun picture of Keri and Grandpa

We got home in enough time to enjoy some turkey sandwiches and then the afternoon was free. Grandpa ran an errand. Grandma took most of the kids to the park and Scott hung Christmas lights outside. I worked inside getting things back in order after Thanksgiving day and preparing things for Niah’s baptism the next day.

Since Scott is up on the ladder anyway, he cleans the gutters too!

Not sure what this was all about, but it was pretty cute.

This girl loves the park and doesn’t get there as often as she’d like.

The two A’s having fun on the swings.

After everyone assembled back home we had a yummy dinner of super quesadilla’s and then watched White Christmas. Our first Christmas movie of the year. Yay!!

My kids LOVE this movie. I’m so glad because I love it too.

We knelt for family prayer and Grandma leaned against the couch, then grandpa leaned on her and then the kids got into it. Super funny! Maybe we should kneel like this more often….

After a lot of convincing we got the kids to bed. Not 2 minutes later we had a knock at the door. Yay, Elder Mageno was back in town and brought his family for a visit and to attend Niah’s baptism. All the kids ended up coming back downstairs and we all chatted for a good hour or so before getting kids back in bed and laying out new beds for our new guests. We had just the right amount of floor space and couch space for everyone. It was perfect.

Scott sure loves his daddy!!
