Afton is now 6 years old!! I can’t believe how time flies. I keep thinking she’s still in kindergarten. Then I do a double take and realize, nope, first grade!! How is that possible??
Sorry about the blood shot eyes. That’s what happens to her after she goes swimming.
Afton’s birthday landed on a Friday. We had arranged that day to watch the Bennett kids and go swimming and have them join our family party. It was so fun and Afton felt very spoiled!

She wanted breakfast for dinner and a bubble gum cake. The cake was so simple to make and so simple looking that I felt bad, but she LOVED it!! This girl is bubble gum queen. She has a gum ball machine and LOVES to get gum balls as gifts so she can fill up her machine.

I got the idea for the cake because I had a coupon for a free frosting flavoring invention thing that came out. You take the flavoring (looks like kool aid powder) and add it to white frosting. Mix it up and viola, flavored frosting. Then I just made a round cake and we called it bubble gum cake. Boy was it bubble gummy!! The whole house smelled like bubble gum every time we cut a piece!!

Things we love about Afton:
-She is such a girl. She loves everything girl. She loves Barbie, and make up and doing her hair, and putting on smelly lotion and wearing her dress up high heels. She always wants to wear dresses and jewelry. She cracks us up!!

-She is a good helper. She cleans really well for a 6 year old. She can get a room cleaner and done faster than most of her siblings could at this age.
-She loves the gospel. She is good at saying prayers and reading the scriptures and wondering about gospel subjects. She knows and loves her Heavenly Father.
