Alix celebrated her 11th birthday on August 12. It was so fun! I love birthdays.
Her birthday landed on a Sunday too, and boy what a GREAT Sunday! Jaime gave a talk that day in Sacrament meeting and started off her talk by wishing Alix a happy birthday. That set the precedence for the rest of church. Everyone was wishing her happy birthday and she got extra treats in her classes. So fun for her! Her purse was bulging from the treats she brought home because she couldn’t eat them all!!
Alix’s best and most favorite gift was the one she made herself. She sewed her very own Sunday dress. Then her sewing teacher took her out and bought her a pair of shoes and purse to match! So beautiful. Alix looked like a princess. I think she even felt like one!
Her siblings and grandparents provided the rest of her gifts. So nice and so generous. Thanks everyone!!
Dinner was bbq hamburgers, sweet potato fries, sour cream and onion potato chips and gapes and cantaloupe. All Alix’s idea!
Since Alix just had a post all about her, I’ll just reiterate how much we love and appreciate Alix.
She is growing into such a beautiful and well rounded young lady.
She sews like a champ and LOVES it.
She LOVES to read.
She is progressing on the piano like a champ.
She is getting really good at babysitting.
And her laughter is still contagious.
We love you Alix!!
Dude. I want to plan and celebrate my birthday with your family. So simple, but I am sure everyone feels so loved on their birthdays!
Of all the kids, I think Alix reminds me most of you Sami in the pictures. She has a great role model!
