Not going to Utah this year was a big blow for me. I’ve definitely filled up my time and somehow managed to keep my mind off of the fact that we did not leave town all summer. But, when I think about it, it’s been hard.
Fortunately for me, Mandi and her sister Angie, decided to make it easier on me. They have started this tradition of going on a sister trip each year and this year they came to visit me. Well, they came to visit Northern California and since I live here, they came to visit me!! :o)
They had so much fun going to Six Flags Vallejo, San Francisco and Monterey. Lucky for me I was able to accompany them to San Fran and it was SUCH A FUN DAY!! Well for me anyway….
Alcatraz. Such a fun place. But this also helps you get an idea of how COLD it was that day!!
We left early, got on Bart and right away I realized that we were not dressed for San Fran. I forget how much cooler it is there than here. Shorts, t-shirts and flip flops were a little rough on us in that cold wind. So first things first, sweat shirts for Mandi and Angie, tennis shoes for me.
Don’t ask about the hat!! Call it going with the crowd!
We did all the fun stuff. Pier 39, Ghirardelli Chocolate factory, China town. Mandi and Angie did Alcatraz. I needed to get home earlier than that.
Mandi and I have been doing photos like this since 8 grade. We just can’t give it up!!
All in all a FABULOUS day. I love those girls. THANKS guys. You made my summer GREAT!!
