Alix is still same old Alix. Loves adventure. Has a perfect solution for every problem in life. Always has ideas. Lots of them. If she were an only child and I had the time and resources to implement all these great ideas, we’d be millionaires right now!!
Alix’s newest love in life is climbing trees. Don’t get me wrong, she has always climbed trees but now she climbs higher and climbs in more tricky trees. She wants to climb every tree on Warm Springs Blvd (a really busy street here!!). She’s up a tree every chance she gets.
Alix is still in love with sewing. She has added knitting to the list too and is getting really good at it.
She is not so fond of cooking and baking though. It was about this age that Jaime would ask constantly if she could go in the kitchen and cook something. I naturally thought Alix would enjoy that too but alas she does not. Getting Alix to cook with me in the kitchen is like pulling a tooth, only more painful!!
Alix is a GREAT cleaner. She has mastered her chores so well that I don’t have to hound her anymore. Now I have more time to focus my energies on Milo and Niah!!
Alix really enjoys being friends with everyone she meets. She is so outgoing and lovable. And yet, she is in the same boat Jaime was at this age, she has no friends. She has people she sees at places we go often, but if she gets the chance to invite someone over the only friend she has for that is Jessie B. Which is fine, except if she’s not available, she has no one else to invite. Poor girl!
Alix's color me mine plate from a few years ago finally broke. I was so sad. After Jaime and Milo's broke, I was sure Alix's would stick around for a while. O'well. At least we have a picture.
Alix recently got invited over to a members home to pick blackberries and bake blackberry pie. She jumped at the chance and had a good time baking (I know, weird, maybe it’s me), making a leather bracelet, being a “model” for a photo shoot and hanging out with said friend, Jessie. I’m glad she has chances like that. It’s good for her.
Alix is the sole owner of the “one and only genuine original space suit sleeping bag”. She is VERY generous and shares it with anyone. She even let’s them try it on. If you come visit, she’ll let YOU try it on!!
All in all Alix is a typical 10 (almost 11) year old girl. Fun, happy, giggly, emotional, moody, helpful, smart and wonderful!
