CHEAPER BY THE HALF DOZEN

Family is Fun!

on October 7, 2008

A great friend of mine (Denita) reminded me that it has been a while since I wrote a newsie post. Thanks for reminding me. I’ve been adding other things that it seems like I’ve posted before this. But I haven’t. Here it is, enjoy!!

Friday September 26 was a great day. The first day we did all the school we were suppose to accomplish for the day. It had been hard to get back into the grove of things, but Friday was our start day. It felt good for us all. We went to the park at 3 to meet the gang. We had a good turn out and the kids all had a great time. I’m glad we have Friday park day and I’m glad that so many people attend. Even my neighbor attends now. She is so fun. We got home late, about 6:30. It was just such a nice evening and we had such great company. I fed the kids and put them to bed.

Saturday we got to have Scott home all day. He started this fitness challenge at work and came home at 8:30pm every night the week before. We decided that working out in the evening was best but we sure did miss him. We did a lot of playing on Saturday. We got our cleaning done too, but we just tried to spend fun time with the kids. We went on a family bike ride. Our neighbors have a baby seat on the back of one bike and a kangaroo that attaches to another bike. So we were all able to go. Except Keri, Roberta watched her and Alix because she fell asleep and we didn’t want to wake her up. We were gone for about 30 minutes and it was VERY fun. We vowed we would do it again, with Alix this time! After we got home I showered and got ready for the Relief Society broadcast. I had arranged with 7 other friends that I would pick them up. We lovingly called my van the Par-ty Van. After the broadcast, which was EXCELLENT, we had dinner at the church and then went out for ice cream. That was fun. They have an ice cream place here that has soft serve. You grab a cup, fill with ice cream, add toppings and then pay. You pay by the ounce. We sat outside and gabbed and ate and had fun. I finally made it home by 9:30 and Keri was hungry. She is not agreeing to bottles as well as I’d hope she would, but we are working on it. I fed her, then we were off to bed.
