CHEAPER BY THE HALF DOZEN

New Years Eve

on February 2, 2012

New Years eve was destined to be boring. It was Saturday night and we didn’t want the kids tired for church the next day. Also, I had to write a talk and so I didn’t want to be up too late.

We ended up having the missionaries for dinner. They didn’t have a place to go so we were glad to host them. We get along with the missionaries very well and they enjoy coming to our home. I’m sure in a few years they will enjoy it even more…. :o)

Anyway, we had a good time and I think they enjoyed the fun things we did because it was New Years.

Are missionaries suppose to hold bb guns??

We did a bbq so we threw on some extra wood and did marshmellows afterwards. The kids had a great time.

Enjoying a message around the fire. So fun, but super cold!!

After the missionaries left we put the kids to bed and I went into talk writing mode. I realized after I was done Jaime and Alix and Scott were upstairs watching a movie. I went up to see what it was before going off to bed and got sucked into watching Steal Magnolias. Such a good movie, but a little more crude than I remember it being. We all laughed hysterically till midnight and then we were off to slumber land. Bummer, I really wanted a good nights sleep for my talk in the morning. O’well, we had fun!
