Jaime was asked to sing in the stake musical fireside on December 22. She was so excited to participate. After the first practice though, she froze up and thought perhaps she didn’t want to participate. Then things got better and she started to enjoy the practices and was glad that she was in it. She had been asked to sing a solo. We were all so excited for her. But then I guess another girl in the group wanted to sing the solo part and so, Jaime being amiable, said sure. Afterwards she said she was sad that she did not sing the solo. She was looking forward to it but wanted to let the other girl feel happy. I commend her for her desire to make others happy. She is such a sweet girl. But I also think she learned a lesson that you don’t always have to give things up to make others happy.
She did a fabulous job singing Good King Applesauce (or whatever his name is). We are still walking around singing that song. It has a catchy tune!!
Loving all the updates! So fun to be able to go to a family wedding in Utah! Everyone is growing up, of course.
