CHEAPER BY THE HALF DOZEN

The rest of the story

on January 21, 2012

After lots of pictures and laughter and fun, we headed to the after wedding luncheon. Scott’s mom arranged for a catered Carne Asada lunch. It smelled SO good at the church. The food was awesome. The company even better. The pinata was the highlight for the kids and the adults that got a piece of candy!!

I love these girls! They were so helpful with all the little kids and so kind. I was so glad Scott's cousins came!

The kids found these dolly things and had a blast with them in the cultural hall during the luncheon.

Such a line up of kids. They had so much fun though!

A bit blurry but such a good shot of Alix winding up for the pitch!

Milo had the privilage of wacking the pinata for the final time.

Once the fun ended we headed to Kari’s house to pack and clean up. We spent a good 2 hours cleaning and packing and getting ourselves ready to travel. Kari was SO KIND and I was sad to say goodbye. I almost wish we had arranged to stay a few more days. But all good visits must end and so did this one. I hope to make it that way again sometime soon. The kids will be devastated if I don’t!

I could have posted one of the "perfect" pictures, but this one tells the story so much better!

We got to the hotel in Mesquite in enough time to throw a few things into the room and head to the reception. It was a nice event and so beautifully decorated. We had good times visiting with everyone.

These two girls really like their Uncle Dave

Keri was such a cutie and enjoyed her grandparents very much. Sure wish we lived closer.

Such a fun time visiting. All the kids got a good family fix before coming back home. I hope we get another family fix soon.

This is deffinitly a daddy's girl! All my girls are! :o)

Jaime's FAVORITE uncle :o)

By the end of the night, the uncles decided to torture all the kids. Scott wasn't about to be left out of that game!

Lexy holding the bouquet. I think she caught it. Can't remember now.

Lexy (Niah's favorite cousin) was such a good helper and was so cute!

Aren't my girls sassy??

Getting sillier

I PROMISE, Alix did not lick the cake!

I got more of these, but most of them didn't come out. The camera was not working right! The car looked great. The neices and nephews had fun with it! Thanks guys for being such good sports!

The kids got to bed late, but it was such a fun day, it didn’t seem to matter. Niah got to have a slumber party in her cousins hotel room. Jaime and Afton chilled with Grandma and Grandpa. That left only 3 children in our room. How wonderful that should have been. Except, Keri refused to sleep. That made for an interesting night. That girl loves to sleep in her own bed and no where else!

We grabbed a 9am Sacrament meeting after saying goodbye to everyone and being part of the family announcement that Torry is expecting and due in July.

The drive home was VERY uneventful and VERY fast compared to the drive there. We were home Sunday night by 8pm. We had the car cleaned out and the kids in bed by 9. It was a good way to end a wonderful trip. We got a full night sleep and Monday dawned with happy, rested Thompsons!!

A wonderful trip. Thanks Louis and Brielle for getting married!!
