CHEAPER BY THE HALF DOZEN

Utah Fun #6

on August 14, 2011

Scott flew in the morning of Friday July 1. After a little bit of confusion and rearranging we were reunited again as a family and ready to head south to see the Hurst side of the family and play and eat and have fun for 4 days straight! Sweet bliss for sure!

It hasn’t happened to us thus far, but we have a couple of missionaries that are just so awesome that we can’t help but love them. When I was leaving to go to Utah we asked them if there was anything they needed us to drop off at home for them. They said yes right away and brought us a couple of bags of stuff. Elder Mageno’s family just happened to live right off the freeway on our way to Blanding and so we arranged to stop there and meet them and have lunch and of course, drop off the stuff. It was so fun to meet his family. He has a sister Jaime’s age and they are pen pals now. He also has a brother Milo’s age and they got along really well too.

[This is Fred the Head. Funny story!]

[His dad is a landscaper. Can you tell by how beautiful their back yard is?]

[The Thompson’s and The Mageno’s. Do you see Keri? She fell in love with Elder Mageno’s brother right away. It was SO cute!]

After lots of laughing and fun we left for the long trip down south to Blanding. It was a REALLY long drive. Especially since the kids had already been in the car for so long over the last couple of weeks. But we all endured, even getting pulled over (which did not result in a ticket because I was not speeding at the time the cop pulled me over and he knew it!).

As soon as we got there we headed to Joe and Shawna’s for the opening dinner of the weekend.

[This preteen of mine is so fun!]

[Navajo Tacos! So yummy.]

[Jaime playing with her cousins]

[View of some of the family from the tower on the play structure built by Scott’s uncle]

[Ann and Afton getting ready to watch the movie]

[Milo in heaven with all his boy cousins around!]

[Watching a movie outside on the trampoline. We watched Gnomeo and Juliet. Not a fan.]

All in all a perfect ending to a long drive!
