CHEAPER BY THE HALF DOZEN

More Routine

on August 22, 2008

Saturday morning I decided to finish my grocery shopping by hitting the sales at the stores close to my house. This time I took Afton with me. She was a good helper and glad that she could go with mommy. We spent the rest of the day doing chores. Scott cleaned up the backyard and side yard and did a great job. What a good guy. I made more apple butter and apple sauce. We got the kids to bed on time and Scott finished his lesson while I put Keri to bed and then did more reading. It was a good day.

Sunday August 17, came a little too early. 4 am to be exact. Milo threw up. It was actually quite controlled and easy to clean up. I decided to stay home from church with him. But I still got up at my normal time so I finished the book I was reading. I kept Keri and Afton home too. We were suppose to have a group of people over for dinner. So Scott updated all the families on Milo’s condition and all but one of them decided to come anyway. We had 3 families over. It was fun and all the kids had a great time. Scott bbq’d 2 beef roasts (that came out awesome) and 3 packages of hot dogs. We had plenty of food and sang Happy Birthday to Li-Li and she blew out candles and everything!! After everyone left we put the kids to bed and I left to go to movie night with the girls. We are trying to start that up again. We’ll see how it goes. We spent the first two hours just talking. About 10:30 we started the movie. Can’t remember what it was called, but it was super good. One of those that you think about for the rest of the week and new meanings come out as you think about it. Very good movie, I highly recommend it (if I could remember what it was called).

Monday the 18 was a nothing day. Chores, school, playing and FHE.
Tuesday was another nothing day! We stayed home, did school, chores and played with friends. Jaime did get invited to the birthday party of the girl across the street. Jaime had a great time. She was there for 6 hours. I finally went over to make sure she was not over staying her welcome. But the party was still going on! She had a ton of fun and won a prize. Not because she won but because she lost! I guess at her birthday party the loosers get to pick a prize. Jaime got a new book. She was very excited.
