CHEAPER BY THE HALF DOZEN

Milo’s Birthday

on April 6, 2011

I can’t believe my only son is 8 years old! I think he had a FABULOUS birthday. At least he reports that he did.

Since his birthday was on a school day the morning was a bit crazy. Lots of school and chores and such. He didn’t get to go to his breakfast with dad because the day was too crazy. At noon, I dedicated my time to Milo’s birthday. We cleaned and ran errands and wrapped presents and baked his cake and decorated and made his requested dinner and then waited for dad to come home to celebrate with us.

My 8 favorite things about Milo:

[He wanted chili and cornbread for dinner. It was YUMMY, if I do say so myself…. :o)]

-He’s good at making each of his little sisters feel loved and each of his big sisters feel important

-He’s super smart

-He’s a hard worker

-He takes being a gentleman seriously and will hold the door open and carry heavy things for his mom

-He idealizes his dad which makes hid dad feel pretty good

-He knows he is a child of God and tells his friends so

-Even though he has to endure a lot of medical appointments and procedures, he has a positive attitude

-He makes us laugh

[Ok, so it looks like a fish with big teeth but it was suppose to be a shark. He asked for a shark last year and I drew one on top of the cake. What he really wanted was a cake in the shape of a shark. So I tried again…. Guess there is always next year!!]

[He was cracking us up. He was dancing and conducting us while we were singing Happy Birthday to him. So funny!!]

[He spent the rest of his night playing with his remote control car and his webkinz. He was up VERY late but very happy!!]

We love you Milo and are very happy you came to our family. We are so excited about your baptism and we are so glad that you have chosen to make this covenant in your life. Here’s to another fabulous year with our only boy!
