CHEAPER BY THE HALF DOZEN

New Year’s Eve

on January 17, 2011

For the last couple of years we have gotten together with the Dalrymple’s for New Year’s Eve. But this year they were taking their oldest daughter to college and so we had to come up with something else to do.

A wonderful sister in our ward, who is here without family, invited all who wanted to, to come to her house for New Year’s Eve. She is a phenomenal cook and insisted on cooking everything. Sister Brownlee is from the Philippines and cooks such yummy food you can’t help but over do it!! It was quite the party and we did so many fun things. The kids played LOTS of Wii. The adults did TONS of talking, laughing, eating, dancing and singing. My friend Krissy Rich was there and did some Zumba with us. That was VERY fun but VERY exhausting. We really did have a fabulous time and were glad we went.

The little’s started melting about 10:30pm and we bailed. We had the 4 youngest to bed by 11pm and then Jaime, Alix, Scott and I stayed up to bang in the new year. We played one of our new games from Christmas and we also got to talk to my sister at midnight. Then the girls really wanted to watch a movie. We tried it, but Alix and I fell asleep. Scott and Jaime endured and were in bed by 2.

Happy New Year and may 2011 bring you more happiness than 2010 did!

Thanks for commenting on my blog! It’s good to know someone reads it. :) No we aren’t having a baby but Brandon is applying to law school and we’re hoping to come to SF soon to look at a couple schools! I’ll let you know when and if we’re close. I’d love to see you all!
