I forgot to mention that on Tuesday, August 5, I invited a couple of friends over to help me with my apple harvest! Our apples aren’t quite ripe yet but they have been falling off the tree and have worms in them. So we wanted to salvage as many as possible. So the girls and I worked on peeling apples. It was taking forever so I asked a couple of my friends if they wanted to come over. It was really fun. We all had sore fingers by the time we were done, but we had a good time talking and laughing. It took us about 2.5 hours to finish the apples we had picked. However, the pile was only an 1/8 of the apple tree. It was then I realized what a job I was in for. I don’t remember having this many apples last year but I guess we did. Either that or we just have a greater crop this year. Either way, I need to invite more friends over…. :0)
Wednesday August 6 was a lazy day. We stayed home, cleaned, did school and just enjoyed the sunshine and happiness of our fun night. After Scott left work he went straight to the Hansen’s house. Suzanne and Kyle Hansen in our ward were moving and so Scott went over to help load the truck. After he was done he came home and we switched. I went over with 3 other ladies from church and we cleaned. The fun thing about them moving is that they replaced themselves! A new couple will now rent the house they just moved out of and they are active members. So we are sad to see the Hansen’s go but are very pleased that we will get a new couple. That way our ward doesn’t seem so small!! We cleaned for about 2 hours and then we said our goodbyes. They are moving to Las Vegas and so perhaps there is a possibility we’ll see them again.
Thursday was suppose to be swimming and piano, but swimming got canceled My friends son was sick and so she thought better not to have anyone over. We still went to piano but then came home and did school and chores and playing. It was a good day.
Do you ever have a bad day? Even when it seems like things are crazy or you aren’t feeling well, overall the day is still good. You are awesome; I wish I had that attitude on life right about now!! This pregnancy is making me cranky. :-)
