CHEAPER BY THE HALF DOZEN

Christmas Eve

on January 5, 2011

I love Christmas Eve at the Richie’s. We’ve been doing it now for 7 years and it’s great. My friend Erika is Italian and wanted to carry on her childhood tradition of a big pasta feast on Christmas Eve. With limited family in the area, we became part of the family! This year the food and company were no let down! It even worked out (now that the kids are older) we had a couple of kids tables and an adult table. It was a fun night!

[Lily and Alix are growing up to be such great friends]

[Jaime and Kami practiced putting make up on each other….HELP!!]

[For dessert, the kids decorated sugar cookies. They had a good time. The adults ate some yummy Italian dessert!]

[Sue and Phillip become my kids’ grandparents for a night. The kids just love them and migrate toward them. They enjoy it to.]

[Just hang’n out and enjoying a fun evening with friends.]

[The kids’ other Christmas Eve grandma. This is Erika’s mother-in-law Lynn. We totally love her too.]

We left about 7:45pm. We arrived home just in time to put the kids to bed and for me to leave and pick up my sister from the bus station. Christmas was practically here and boy were we excited. Because we had done so much pre prep setting everything up for the big day was easy and we were sleeping like babies by 11pm.
