September 7 marked Afton’s 4th birthday. We were so excited to get to celebrate another birthday. Especially for Afton. She is so girlie and so doing a party for her is fun. She gets all cute and smiles from ear to ear for days. As long as it’s pink, girlie or frilly she’s satisfied.
This year she wanted a princess cake. Specifically she wanted Belle. I finished the cake too fast and thought I’d embellish it a bit more. Unfortunately, my embellishing made for a cute cake that looked NOTHING like Belle. But Afton LOVED it and that was all that mattered!

Afton requested burritos for dinner. So we made burritos with all the fix’ns. We had the Brack family over and Auntie Sara was here. Our other neighbors, the McKenzie’s came over too. It was quite the gathering and quite the fun.

My 4 favorite things about Afton:
1- Her smile and eyes. Her smile and her big brown eyes would melt anyone’s heart. She knows just when to use those two…. :o)
2- Her vocabulary. From a very small age she could communicate. Now it is fun to hear her use big words and try to sound as grown up as her big sisters do.
3- Her laugh. She gets very giggly and her laugh is quite contagious. We appreciate the laughter and light she brings into the family.
4- Her love of learning. She is so curious and wants to know everything. She listens intently as I teach the other kids and tries to catch on to what we are talking about. She is so smart already.
Happy Belated Birthday Afton!! Your mom needs a girlie-girl in the house!!
