So the thing that kept us the most busy the latter part of May was the rearranging of our house. Scott and I are classic for thinking about something for months (perhaps years) and then waking up one morning and implementing the idea. So for years we have talked about moving all the girls into one room and then Milo getting his own room. We always figured we’d do it when we lived in a bigger house with more bathrooms. But, I guess there is no time like the present.
So we woke up one morning declared that that was the morning and proceeded to move everyone around. All 5 girls are in the master bedroom. Milo is in his own room (sort of….half the room is full of my junk!!). We have a room and then that left an empty room upstairs. So we moved the play room upstairs. Then Scott laid laminate flooring in that room. Now we want to move our dinning room into that room leaving the dinning room empty and ready for my mom to move in.
Yep, mom’s moving in and should be here anytime. As soon as she is released from the facility she’ll be on her way here. We have lots of work to finish up here and then even more work to do in Fresno, so the longer she qualifies for the facility, the better. She is progressing really well there. She can stand for 2 minutes and walk 12 steps. HUGE improvements over where she was when she entered the facility 6 weeks ago. So we are excited for this new adventure in our lives and the kids are even more excited. They can’t wait to help grandma reach her physical goals and share their daily lives with her. It will be a good experience for all.

Wow! Those are big changes ahead!! I think it will be a blessing for your family to have your mom there. You guys never fail to amaze me with your generosity! I don’t know what the prior sleeping arrangements were, but the new ones look pretty cool.
sami, you rock. i miss you so much. i love how you rearranged things! it all looks great and having all the girls together looks like so much fun! like a slumber party every night. and your mom is super lucky to have a daughter like you.
