CHEAPER BY THE HALF DOZEN

New season, old tradition

on May 3, 2010

Well, baseball season has started again and so has our desire to attend games. We decided that since the A’s offer discounted tickets and hot dogs twice a month, that we’d pick one game a month and go. I wish I would have been on the band wagon sooner. Apparently to get tickets in the first 4 months of the season is a lot harder than the last 2 months of the season. So we got tickets for April, May, June but not July. We’ll try for August and September when we have a better idea of when we want to go.

But our first game was FABULOUS. We went on Wednesday April 7. We got to share our time with the Dalrymples. Always a wonderful way to spend the evening. Afton and Keri stayed home with Roberta and got to bed on time (good thing!!). The A’s WON in the last inning of the game. It was the longest game we have ever been to and I told Scott they only had till 10:30 and then I was leaving! They scored the winning run at 10:27pm. That was a close one! We almost missed it. But 3.5 hours at a game that late at night was long enough for me!

[Even though the sun started out in our eyes. The sun went behind the opposite bleachers before the game actually started.]

[The view was not that bad….especially since we only paid 2 bucks!]

GO A’S!!

We recently went to a Bee’s game (Utah’s minor league team) for Tory’s hubby’s birthday, and we got tickets behind home plate (which, being Utah football and basketball state, were cheap). So much fun! I love baseball, and I’m jealous that you got to go see the A’s :(
