CHEAPER BY THE HALF DOZEN

Google Family Party

on December 30, 2009

As if our adventure to San Francisco was not enough, Google threw a family party as well. They had the most clever idea. They took the movie ELF and based the entire party around it. If you’ve ever seen the movie, you’ll get it. If not, sorry, it was still VERY cool!!

[Perhaps one of the funnest things we did…..we got there a little too early!!]

[No the kids are not outside. This is a painting on the wall next to them. Didn’t realize what I had done till we saw the pictures after wards]

[The party started out with an enormous assortment of cookies, candy, hot chocolate and hot cider. A kids dream!!]

[When they let us all into the movie room it looked just like a frozen lake. There was “floating ice” that we could sit on to watch the movie. It looked real. It’s amazing what one can do with a little foam and the right lighting!]

[After walking in, each person got a goodie bag filled with stuff that related to the movie (hence the elf hat that Alix is wearing)]

[All the kids had a great time and we all enjoyed the movie tremendously. Even Keri was good (except when would sneak up behind someone and run off with their bag in hopes of getting just one more piece of candy. Or when she started crying and ran to some random guy in the room and buried her sticky face in his arm….)]

I’m so glad we have these opportunities at family time. We are truly blessed and I can’t thank Scott enough for going to work everyday and being the best employee ever so that we can enjoy things like this. Thanks BABE!!
