The rest of August was pretty boring actually! We spent the time being home. It was fabulous! We got lots of school work done, played with lots of neighbor kids. We invited friends over. We finally made it to the beach!! Our one and only beach day for this year was on Monday August 22. We invited all who wanted to come. We brought Katie with us which thrilled Jaime to no end. They have known each other since birth and still get along so well. Read the rest of this entry »

The weekend of August 19-21 was an exciting one for Scott. He drove to San Diego to meet up with his brother’s and brother-in-law for a guy weekend. Scott’s dad turned sixty this year and so the boys planned this trip. The plan was to have Jane get Larry to the San Diego temple for a session. The boys were going to meet them there and surprise him. I wasn’t there, but the reports I get is that it worked! Larry was very surprised and the rest of the day went VERY well. Thursday August 18 was a BIG day for all of us. It started out with me watching Eyre kids for a few hours. Then Scott, Jaime and I headed to the temple. Yep, Jaime got to go do baptisms in the temple for the first time. What an amazing experience. She was smiling all day and just beaming as we drove to the temple. Read the rest of this entry »

August 12 was Alix’s 10th birthday. Since she falls under ‘you get to invite friends to your birthday party this year’ clause, I had another party to help plan and implement. I was a little more concerned with this crowd as they were younger and we didn’t have a set plan of action. But that is how Alix usually rolls. She has an idea and it is perfect in her mind and I just don’t see it. She’s creative and I’m not! Read the rest of this entry »

The end of July, beginning of August was a wonderful time. I was able to visit with my grandma multiple times in just a couple of weeks. Grandma was staying with Jeri and since that is so close, it was easy to visit grandma often. I went 3 times in two weeks. Each time taking a different set of children with me.
