So, after getting extremely envious of my neighbors garden (not Roberta, but Ian) I decided we needed to do something about it. Ian said that his whole garden came from his compost pile. Have you seen anything so cute as Niah and her BFF Emilie? So they were out riding bikes today and Niah comes running in and says:

‘Mom, we felt a raindrop so we are going to put on our bathing suits so we can get wet, but put on our rain boots so we can splash in the puddles ok?’

And before I could say anything Emilie comes tromping in with her get up on. How could I say no at that point? They spent the next hour outside waiting for the rain to come (which it did……all 12 drops of it). How fun to be 4!!

How many of you knew that 7-11 gives a free Slurpee out to each customer on July 11 (7/11)? I did but had forgotten about it until my great, wonderful, thoughtful (enough adjectives?) friend Li-Li called and reminded me. So I packed up the kids and the neighbor kids and we headed to the local 7-11. It was a fun treat on this hot and humid day. Thanks 7-11!!

Well, we are home! It has been quite an ordeal but it is finally over. At least for now! When I went to see him today, he was about the same as he was when I left him. He perked up a bit after they gave him some medication though. Read the rest of this entry »

We had a good day today. I got to the hospital about 7 am and relieved Scott of his duty. Scott did a great job taking care of Milo, finding out the scoop on the other patients and giving the nurses a hard time. Just shortly after he left Milo woke up not happy at all.
