I said my next post would be about Jaime’s birthday, but I didn’t realize how far behind on posts I was so I’m actually going to start with July 5. Read the rest of this entry »
Where do I start?
With the passing of my mom, my blog has really suffered. Well, we all have. But now I’m at a loss as to where I pick up again. Do I go straight for the dying mom post or do I pick up where I left off and cover all the other things that went on in July before my mom’s passing. Actually, I don’t feel like writing at all but feel compelled to keep this up since this is my only source of history and journaling for my future posterity. I think I owe it to Jaime to at least post about her birthday. So I will do that first. A positive happy happening before all my babbling about my mama!

A Legacy of Faith
My courageous, faithful mother was taken home to her Heavenly Father last night. I think of her when I read the scriptural account of the 2000 stripling warriors. “We do not doubt our mothers knew it.” (Alma 56:48) My mom shared her testimony often in the way she lived her life and in the sacrifices she made for her family and for others. I will miss her dearly while here in mortality, but I will be reunited with her again. I know this for a surety. I love you mom!

4th of July
We had a fabulous 4th of July weekend. Saturday was spent cleaning. What better way to start a holiday weekend, eh?? We did a good old 4th of July bbq in the backyard. We had corn on the cob, homemade potato salad, bbq’d chicken and ice cream cones for dessert. The missionaries joined the fun. Read the rest of this entry »

Learned Something New
Our piano was one of those hand me downs from who knows how long ago. It has worked good enough to get us this far in life. However, when we realized that 5 of the keys that the girls use most often didn’t work and the pedal that is used 90% of the time was broken too it was time to look into our piano problem.
