Christmas Eve

I love Christmas Eve at the Richie’s. We’ve been doing it now for 7 years and it’s great. My friend Erika is Italian and wanted to carry on her childhood tradition of a big pasta feast on Christmas Eve. With limited family in the area, we became part of the family! This year the food and company were no let down! It even worked out (now that the kids are older) we had a couple of kids tables and an adult table. It was a fun night! Read the rest of this entry »

Sami’s 33

4 years ago I freaked out for a whole year about going into my 30’s. All my fears were going to come true….I was now going to be “old” to all people in their 20’s and younger. AHHHH!! But here I am 33 and it’s old hat now. Turning 33 seemed the same as turning 23. But I’m a bit older and wiser now, so that makes a big difference. Read the rest of this entry »

More December Fun

I had the wonderful opportunity to watch lots of kids this month so that their parents could go to their company parties. I really did enjoy the feeling that came with making others happy and being able to give service. Isn’t that what this month is truly all about? Giving of ourselves as Christ gave of himself? Earlier this month, our neighbor, Emillie had her birthday. Since my new passion is baking cakes Roberta let’s me practice on her kids’ birthday’s too.
