After our morning visit with Milo, the girls and I went home and Scott and Milo chilled in the ICU for the rest of the afternoon. I got a call from Scott a little later and he said that the doctor said that as soon as Milo could walk the line, he could go home. I’ve been calling it a drug test ever since. “As soon as Milo can pass the drug test by walking a straight line, he can come home!!”
Grandma and Grandpa Thompson showed up about 4pm with the rest of the crew and boy was that a glorious reunion for all. Even our neighbors showed up to join in the fun.
After all of our hellos we loaded everyone in the car and headed back to the hospital. Grandma and Grandpa and the rest of the girls were dying to see Milo so we went. First we got some Jamba Juice though. We had promised Milo one when we came back and so we obliged. Thanks Grandma and Grandpa!!
We were so happy to be reunited as a family again and Milo surprised all of us by fast walking around a group of tables in the cafeteria. That was so fun to see. He was so excited to do that and we all clapped for him. I’m sure we made quite the scene!
We all went home and Milo and dad went back up to bed. Milo and dad watched a movie for about 30 minutes. Then Milo got his round of meds and was off to slumber land by 8pm. Then the most wonderful thing happened. Milo did not wake up again till 8 am! His first real night sleep in 2 weeks. Way to go Milo! He is working hard and we know he will be home soon.
[Happy reunion!]
