As Milo has gotten more and more miserable and evidence of safely extubating him is no where to be found, they have decided to re sedate him in an effort to keep him more comfortable and keep his vitals at good levels. (more…)

Sleeping Super Hero
Tuesday, January 26th, 2010A little extra prayer, please
Tuesday, January 26th, 2010The docs are still unsure about extubating Milo. They have taken away most of the sedation in preparation for the procedure. The upshot is that Milo is awake and coherent and miserable. So, we either need the have Milo extubated or re-sedated. Our preference would be extubated.
We know that all of you have been praying for Milo and keeping him in your thoughts, but can you please give the little guy a little extra prayer today?
Many, many thanks.

Aren’t they cool??
Monday, January 25th, 2010I have this AMAZING friend Cathy. She has an equally AMAZING daughter who draws. She is the one who drew the pictures of Milo as a super hero that are on the side bar. Thanks Brittany. When Milo wakes up he is going to be SOOO happy to see himself as a super hero.
If you want to check out more of her drawings you can here:

Coherence
Sunday, January 24th, 2010This is just a quickie.
They are switching up Milos medications to, as one doctor put it, get ready to bring Milo in for a landing. They are lowering dosages or, in some cases, changing them. The idea is that when they remove the breathing tube on Monday, they can cut some of the meds at the same time and he’ll wake up and be able to breath on his own. (more…)
