Thursday, January 21st, 2010

They finally decided to put in a feeding tube.  Originally they were just going to give him I.V. fluids but that does not seem to be enough.  So they fed the tube in and will verify with x-ray if it is in the right place and then they will start feeding him something similar to pedialite.  (more…)

They are moving Milo every hour.  That way he doesn’t get any bed sores and it helps with his respiratory.  He remains sedated and the swelling is getting worse.  (more…)

Status Quo

Wednesday, January 20th, 2010

Milo stayed nice and quiet all night.  They did have a slight scare around 10pm.  They were concerned because his output was decreasing.  But all the tests they took showed that he was fine and output was fine too.  (more…)

Almost Done

Tuesday, January 19th, 2010

We got a call about 12:15pm that said they were done with all the “work” and were now putting on the halo.   We are almost there and we are glad.  We might be seeing the boy here in a couple of hours, yay!!  The posts might slow down once he is out of surgery.  But one of us will post at least once a day.

Scott and I took advantage of the bluer skies and went for a walk and had lunch.  It was a good refresher and we are now ready for the night ahead of us.

We’ll let you know when they tell us he is out.
